About JudithJudith Levy, M.Ed. RMT, founder of Peace of Mind for Pets AND People, is a highly sought after and acclaimed animal behavior consultant with decades of expertise helping families and their pets have positive, meaningful relationships. Through combining traditional canine and feline behavioral treatment methods with complementary health and energy therapies such as Reiki and Nelson Bach Flower Remedies®, Judith is renowned for addressing behavioral issues, including their emotional components, with a 360°, whole animal approach. A holistic methodology coupled with her special connection to animals enables Judith to identify and provide answers to the root causes of canine and feline issues leading to sustainable, positive outcomes. Having conducted more than 1200 behavior consultations with a very high rate of success, many correcting the most daunting problems in cats and dogs, she is routinely recommended by veterinarians to assist in treatment of their animal patients and also serves as an expert witness in court cases involving animals. Additionally, her extensive experience in the retail pet industry with special emphasis in pet food products and their nutritional value enables her to evaluate another important element in addressing the complete well-being of a cat or dog. Judith has studied extensively the works of prominent veterinarians Dr. Sue Hetts, Dr. Nicholas Dodman, Dr. Karen Overall, and animal behavior experts John Fisher and Bill Campbell to advance her intuitive and practical understanding of ethology (the scientific study of animal behavior) and behavioral methodology. In addition to her being an Energy Health Practitioner through the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology, she also trained under the distinguished William Rand at the International Center for Reiki Training to achieve Usui and Karuna Reiki Master certifications. She is a practicing Usui Reiki Master Teacher. One of the keys to Judith’s success in solving problematic canine and feline behavioral issues comes from her talent for educating families on the techniques best suited to help their pets overcome negative behavior patterns. Judith shares her keen ability to assess the systemic interactions between humans and pets and how these can be best modified to correct dysfunctional interactive behaviors. Building upon a Masters in Education and an advanced degree in human Behavioral Psychology, both from the University of Pittsburgh, as well as her background teaching children with special needs in the Pittsburgh Public Schools, Judith develops customized treatment plans in an easy to understand style that ensures successful implementation -- enabling peace of mind for pets AND people. In addition to one-on-one 360° Behavior Consultations and Best Friends Reiki Therapy™ Peace of Mind for Pets AND People offers Puppy Programs and One Hour Instruction Clinics™. Current topics for these instructional clinics include proactive, preventative instruction for introducing your baby to your canine family, instruction on how to address various “jumping up” problems in canines as well as a housetraining protocol so you can be ready for bringing home that puppy. For those interested in training to be a Reiki practitioner, Judith provides unique training. When you train with Judith, you will have the advantage of learning how to become a Reiki practitioner for both animals and people. She offers multiple levels of certification – Reiki Level I, Reiki Level II, Practitioner Skills Training and Master Level..
